One of the last puzzle pieces in building a Social-Technical system is that it must be continuously updated and re-mapped to balance internal and environmental factors. When managers and leaders have knowledge of how systems can thrive or deteriorate, they are more likely to be successful in steering the transformation effort. And leaders with systems knowledge must be willing to share how systems work because it takes more than one person in an organization to implement systems. In summary, the knowledge of systems gives leaders awareness to apply tactics to make changes in the Social-Technical system.
